In Partnership with Fairmont Chateau Whistler
The SLCC is grateful to partner with the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, which will host additional events during the Grand Finale weekend — including an evening fashion experience at the Mallard Lounge on Sunday, November 23, and a continuation of the Indigenous Artisan Market on Monday, November 24. A Celebration of Indigenous Excellence
Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week continues to be a platform for cultural resurgence, artistic excellence, and intergenerational exchange. Through runway shows, workshops, markets, and mentorship, VIFW creates space for Indigenous voices to lead, thrive, and inspire.
The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre celebrates the living cultures of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and Lil̓wat7úl (Lil’wat) Nations. This fall and winter, the SLCC deepens its storytelling through fashion as art — weaving together exhibitions, performances, and immersive experiences that highlight the creativity and innovation of Indigenous designers.
This year’s collaboration builds on the SLCC’s ongoing relationship with Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week (VIFW), having previously hosted runway presentations on National Indigenous Peoples Day in the Great Hall in 2025 and featuring Squamish Designer Himikalas Pamela Baker on the mezzanine patio in 2024. Together, these events reflect a shared commitment to celebrating Indigenous fashion, art, and identity.
