The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre is the first centre of its kind in Canada, sharing what our two Nations have in common and what makes each unique.
The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre showcases permanent and feature exhibit spaces, a gift shop, café, and a full catering and events department for group bookings.
Guided tours are included in museum admission on the hour, every hour, with a welcome song. This summer guests can experience the feature exhibition of Nation Members photographed throughout the shared territory – UNCEDED: S7ULH TEMÍXW / TI TMICWKÁLHA / OUR LAND – A Photographic Journey into Belonging running until October 8, 2023.
Our admission-free zone includes Whistler’s largest First Nations’ gift shop, featuring authentic First Nations’ art, houseware, giftware, attire and accessories, as well as the Thunderbird Café, serving traditional Indigenous-inspired fare with a modern twist such as bannock salmon paninis and venison bannock tacos.
We invite you to celebrate with us, listen to our stories, and learn what our next chapter entails!
Hours of Operation: Open Tuesday-Sunday – Museum & Gift Shop: 10am – 5pm AND Café: 10am – 4pm
