Local Artists In The Spotlight

Di Izdebski 

Di is a self-taught artist with a background in archeology illustration. She began painting approximately six years ago when she couldn’t suppress her passion for showing the beauty of nature through art. 

Di paints the West Coast’s vibrant beauty, showcasing flora, animals, land, and sea.  The way she creates rhythm and movement on canvas using strong colors forms is unmatched. 

Patricia Banks

Award-winning artist Patricia Banks is most famous for capturing the beauty of the Canadian landscape and wildlife in her paintings. She’s also a signature member of the Artists for Conservation. Her passion for nature shines through in all her works. That’s why they invoke such strong feelings in their viewers.  

Gigi Hoeller

Gigi draws her inspiration from nature to create her pieces. In her own words: “Nature and the beauty that surrounds us is what inspires me. I like to bring the things that we see on a regular basis to life, and show the viewers another perspective, another way to look at what is around us. “

Evelyn Kirkaldy

Evelyn Kirkaldy’s paintings depict vivid mountain meadows, lush gardens filled with flowers, flourishing rainforests, and intriguing wildlife. They are characterized by a strong awareness of the natural world and intense color play. Her most recent works are packed with exquisitely rich textures. Drops, dots, and spatters blend and mingle to form breathtaking paintings

Evelyn’s art has been shown in several British Columbia and Alberta galleries.  Her sculptures are commonplace in both homes and businesses all around the world.

Jane Appleby

Each of Jane’s works possesses a whimsical type of beauty. Her colorful artwork represents her emotional response to the landscape around her. Her book, The Purposeful Brush, aims to inspire the artist in us all.

Jenna Robinson

Jenna Robinson discovered her love for painting at an early age. After finding her passion in high school, she taught herself how to paint by experimenting. Her outdoor lifestyle of exploring her nearby mountains inspired her to put brush to canvas. Robinson, who is always happier outside, uses painting to express and convey her appreciation for nature.

Her art style is realistic, but  skillfully uses contrast  giving her paintings an otherworldly feel that  captivating your attention. 

 Jenna provides a  transformative viewing experience every time you view one of  her exhibitions.   Her unique environment provides you with something missing from the traditional gallery viewing experience: hospitality.
