Welcome to Prince George, BC!

The vibrant city of Prince George is nestled amongst the fertile green of abundant forests and protected by land formations carved in the ice age. This lively and welcoming city is located in the heart of British Columbia and we invite you to take in all that we have to offer.

Admiring the local arts scene can enhance any trip to Prince George and provide visitors with unique insight into some of the challenges and celebrations that northern British Columbian residents experience. Bring something home with you by visiting one of several gift shops featuring creations from local artists including Studio 2880, Angelique’s Native Crafts, Two Rivers Gallery, the Prince George Visitor Centre, and The Exploration Place.

Art in Prince George is shared through music, theatre, festivals, and visual art. Two Rivers Gallery is the main centre for visual art in Prince George (and BC’s central interior). Located in downtown Prince George their visually stunning building reflects the geography and industry of the area while displaying a variety of exhibits throughout the year. Join them Thursday evenings to create your own art in their MakerLab, an open area with a variety of tools available for use. They also have a gift shop brimming with creations from local artists.

Theatre NorthWest treats audiences to several captivating performances each year. They are the only professional theatre company located north of Kamloops and is one of Canada’s most subscribed-to live theatres (per capita).

Experience audible art at a variety of venues in Prince George, from small concerts at local breweries, restaurants, and cafes to performances by the Prince George Symphony Orchestra, to a large concert at the CN Centre.

If you’re looking for even more to do while you’re in Prince George, check out tourismpg.com for a variety of activity ideas.
