Victoria Market Collective is a community-driven retail collective that showcases locally made and Canadian artisan goods, offering a year-round “market-style” shopping experience in the heart of Victoria.
Originally launched as a pop-up in 2020 to support artisans affected by the loss of in-person markets, it has since grown into a permanent platform connecting hundreds of makers with shoppers who value local craftsmanship.
Rather than a traditional store, the collective functions as a curated marketplace, featuring a diverse range of products—from handmade art, jewellery, and clothing to small-batch foods and home goods. Each item is created by independent makers, many of whom are based on Vancouver Island and across Canada.
With multiple locations, including downtown Victoria and Cordova Bay, the space emphasizes community connection by sharing the stories behind the makers and fostering relationships between artists and customers. Its mission centres on supporting small businesses, strengthening the local economy, and celebrating the handmade movement through an accessible and collaborative retail environment.
