Nestled in the spectacular Rocky Mountains and located within the traditional territory of the Ktunaxa Nation, St. Eugene Resort celebrates a unique history within a beautiful and rare setting. Whether it’s the dramatic alpine glow from Fisher Peak or the morning elk on our championship golf course, St. Eugene delights with exceptional resort experiences and warm, welcoming hospitality.
Journey to a Different World
Situated in a secluded valley on the banks of the flowing St. Mary’s river, our Resort can feel like another world for our guests. Getting here is simple: we are five minutes away from the Canadian Rockies International Airport and a leisurely 10-minute drive from downtown Cranbrook.
Discover our Rich History
We are proud of our unique Indigenous culture, deep history in the region and long-standing connection to the land. Once a former residential school, the Mission Building was reclaimed under the visionary leadership of the Ktunaxa Nation and transformed into a full-service resort and beacon of light for the community.
St. Eugene Resort’s ownership consists of four Ktunaxa communities including the ʔAkisq̓nuk, ʔAq̓am, Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi ‘it (Tobacco Plains), Yaqan nukiy (Lower Kootenay) and the Kenpesq’t (Shuswap Indian Band). Together we make up St. Eugene Mission Holdings Limited (SEM).
