A Super Sweet Sugar Rush of a Musical!

Young Charlie Bucket can hardly contain his excitement when he finds a coveted Golden Ticket to take a behind the scenes tour of the mysterious Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory.

Charlie and his fellow ticket winners – gluttonous Augustus Gloop, spoiled Veruca Salt, boastful Violet Beauregarde, and maniacal Mike Teavee – are amazed by Wonka’s mouthwatering world of pure imagination. As they compete for Wonka’s grand prize, each contestant ends up getting – in strange but delightful ways – just what they deserve.

Based on Roald Dahl’s semi-sweet children’s classic, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory brings audiences of all ages on Charlie’s curious adventure – bursting with whimsical musical numbers and wonders great and small. This production must be believed to be seen!

When Emily Carr (1871–1945) wrote about landscape paintings—her own and those of others—she would sometimes describe how an eye might move through the imagined space in the work. It is striking, then, that so many of her own paintings create an experience of dense, impenetrable forest that confounds such forward movement. In many cases, the viewer is tantalized with the Read more...
