You used to call me Marie…

by Tai Amy Grauman

November 8 & 9, 2025

Music and dance bring to life the story of Marie Callihoo and generations of Alberta’s Métis women. Follow Marie, Iskwewo, Napew, and Mistatim (“horse” in Michif) in celebrations of love and resilience. Robust yet intimate, it explores the fur trade and political uprisings from the 1930s to today through era-spanning dance and live music.
