Whether it’s a sentimental gift, a wedding ring, or simply a well-deserved treat, jewellery is something that makes its way into each of our lives. Therefore, it should be special – a piece that you take pride in wearing. That’s where Zadel Jewellery Studio comes in. The company creates bespoke pieces of jewellery that are not only perfect for each occasion, but are truly pieces of magnificent, dazzling art.

Bringing visions to life, Zadel Jewellery Studio guarantees quality. Each of its bespoke pieces are developed with the client’s idea firmly in mind, and as a result, no client leaves the studio feeling unfulfilled. Down to the smallest details, the company strives for perfection. Indeed, each sparkling piece is expertly crafted, and the team pours an abundance of care into each piece – even its ready-to-wear jewellery, which can be found at its Granville Island location where they also showcase 11 exceptionally talented Canadian Jewellery Artists in their gallery.

Home to a unique style, Zadel Jewellery Studio is known for its refined, symmetrical pieces that have an emphasis on clean lines and highlighted stones. Offering a range of customisation options, its rings are perfect for any occasion, be it a special gift or for an engagement. From natural mined or laboratory grown diamonds to sapphires & other gemstones, there is something suitable for every taste. This isn’t all the company is known for. In fact, Zadel Jewellery Studio has a whole host of services that make it shine amongst the competition – such as, appraisals, repairs, pearl restringing and antique jewellery/silverware restoration.

Adele and Johan Van Tonder, a husband-and-wife team, are the brains behind the business. With over 70 years of combined experience in the jewellery industry, the pair are nothing short of enthusiastic about developing exquisite pieces for their clients and have together built a dynamic method of doing so. Together they watch over a small team of close-knit, highly trained staff, and ensure that the business runs to the best of its ability.

At the heart of the company lies the desire to capture an individual’s essence through its custom pieces. Utilising the full potential of its premises, Zadel Jewellery Studio undertakes all its production and manufacturing processes in-house, abiding by its motto of ‘no intermediaries.’ Moreover, it prides itself on infusing each design with flexibility and flair, which enables originality. As a result, the customer can have faith that they will receive a piece that will wow, inspire, and delight.

Of course, this sets the company further apart from its competitors, as it is a truly client-oriented service. Unique to Zadel Jewellery Studio is its redesign service – comprised of existing materials, the company breathes new life into old pieces, uncovering the value of otherwise forgotten jewellery. Furthermore, the company has blossomed throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, as people have had the time to connect with their creativity and sentimentality. Zadel Jewellery Studio has seen a rise in clients reaching out through online platforms such as Zoom, as many have rediscovered old pieces they’d like to restore or are hoping to develop the item into something new and unique.

Throughout 2026, Zadel Jewellery Studio will continue providing clients with a high-quality, tailored service that is filled with passion. It is expected that the brand will continue to grow – namely through its numerous features in magazines – both locally and internationally, with integrity, optimism, and gratitude. Ultimately, Zadel Jewellery Studio hopes to cling to its mission and is planning to create more extraordinary pieces for its clients.
