The North Shore Spirit Trail

The North Shore Spirit Trail is an ambitious effort by the City of North Vancouver, the District of North Vancouver, the District of West Vancouver, and the Squamish and Tsleil Waututh First Nations to create a continuous greenway across the entire North Shore. Eventually, you will be able to hike, bike, or rollerblade from Deep Cove to Horseshoe Bay on the continuous path.

The North Shore Spirit Trail’s relatively flat paths along the waterfront make for a fun and easy walk or ride with lots to discover along the way! You’ll find your journey well-signposted, separated and safe. If you are staying in one of the hotels in The Shipyards District you can step out of your room to rent a bike and be on your way! Stops along the North Shore Spirit Trail include The Shipyards, The Quay Market & Food Hall, parks and beaches, and restaurants and breweries.

The works of Los Angeles-based artist Charlotte Zhang are inscribed with the histories of petty criminals, rogues, ruffians, and indeed tireslashers – her contemporary variant on labels found as far back as Elizabethan Era moralizing “rogue” pamphlets. Such outlaws, she observes, threaten ideas of property and propriety that have long defined upright members of society; and yet, they also personify the fantasy Read more...
