Education & workshops

The Vancouver Island Sculpting Studio offers a series of immersive workshops in sculpting, situated in downtown Nanaimo on traditional Snuneymuxw land and led by professional sculptor Joel A. Prevost.

Participants benefit from learning in an inspiring environment designed to nurture artistic expression. Our diverse range of workshops caters to all skill levels, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

Immerse yourself in hands-on learning in our professionally equipped clay sculpting studio, featuring dedicated workspaces, essential sculpting tools, a glaze room, a kiln for firing your creations, and expert guidance from experienced instructors to support you throughout your journey.

Our Artist-in-Residence (AIR) program empowers individuals embarking on their clay sculpting journey, igniting their unique creative essence. Interested applicants are encouraged to share their project proposals via email to start their sculpting adventure. AIR Program & residency
