Education & Workshops in Halfmoon Bay

For upcoming workshops click here.

Immersing ourselves in arts and culture inspires us to develop our own creativity and through the engaged teaching process in artist run workshop we can begin to master new skills and experiences that will enable discovery and growth while supporting the vital role of artists in our communities. In the arts, learning from the masters is a unique opportunity.

Halfmoon Bay was originally a territory of the Shíshálh Nation and nowadays, offers a lot of Indigenous art. One of the main attractions is the Rockwater Secret Cove Resort which has unique accommodations in the form of a luxury tent-house suite. Guests can take their time and enjoy a variety of paintings by some of the best artists in the town - Sandy Kay and Gigi Hoeller. Sandy Kay's paintings are known to be very emotion-based and painted in different styles. The artist used to own a gallery on Granville Island for many years and has gained international attention with her paintings displayed in England, Germany, Dubai, the U.S. and Canada.   If you're looking for a romantic getaway in a natural scenery filled with Shíshálh Nation Indigenous culture, Halfmoon Bay will leave you impressed.
