Alert Bay

Situated near the town of Port McNeill on northeast Vancouver Island, the village of Alert Bay offers stunning mountain views, showcasing the natural beauty of British Columbia. While being a small town, there are a lot of things to do in Alert Bay. To dive further into the local culture, a visit to the Culture Shock gallery showcasing NAMGIS arts and culture is a must. Another attraction that can’t be missed is a U’mista cultural centre which showcases the indigenous culture and explores Kwakwaka‘wakw ceremonial regalia. For a truly authentic experience, you should stay at the Seine Boat Inn hotel to fully immerse into the indigenous culture of the village and enjoy those stunning views!
