Throughout June across Canada, National Indigenous History Month brings an opportunity to learn about the unique cultures, traditions, and experiences of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis. A time to hear their stories, and honour the achievements and resilience of Indigenous Peoples who have lived on this land since time immemorial and celebrate their presence today. The SLCC is proud to be the heart of the authentic Indigenous experience of the Skwxwú7mesh and Líl̓wat7úl – the original peoples of the shared territories in Whistler.
