Who We Are

The Midsummer Music Festival is an annual three-day celebration of music and arts, held on the first weekend where Sunday falls in July. Set in the stunning Bulkley Valley, on Wet’Suwet’en territory, the festival showcases a diverse lineup of artists across multiple stages, offering a vibrant mix of genres and performances. Beyond the music, attendees can enjoy interactive workshops, family-friendly activities, and a welcoming community atmosphere. Entirely volunteer-driven, Midsummer is a festival by the people, for the people – bringing together music lovers of all ages for an unforgettable summer experience.

100% Volunteer Powered!

All Genres, Always A Mix

The Festival embraces all genres of music, hosting an eclectic mix of musicians performing on one of four stages. We are fortunate to have world-class artists headline the festival every year. In addition to our headliners, Midsummer showcases dozens of talented local and regional performers, discovering fresh new music in the valley. The festival also includes a variety of interactive workshops put together by the musicians. There are several Jam Zones, so go ahead and bring your instruments! We also offer exciting and entertaining activities for children, including crafts, games, as well as the children’s stage.

Family Positive > all ages welcome

The Midsummer Festival features a fabulous family area that has a reputation for being interactive for caregivers and their children; it is a festival in itself. The festival’s family area is a fun, interactive space for caregivers and kids to enjoy together – like a festival within the festival! It features a kids’ stage with special performances, plus a variety of creative and engaging activities for all ages.

100% Volunteer Powered

The festival would not be possible without the generous time and skills offered by our volunteers. We are always looking for people who want to help! If you are interested in making Midsummer a success, we would be lucky to have you. Four hours of volunteering will get you a day pass, 12 hours a weekend pass, and at 24 hours, you will be given a weekend pass with meals provided.
