New drawing workshops:
Darcy Johnson’s new workshop, “Responsive Drawing and Composition.”(September) In this inspiring, hands-on workshop, participants will explore pen and ink, graphite, and charcoal while developing their own visual language.
We’re thrilled to introduce John’s new watercolour workshop. (October) With extensive experience in urban sketching and outdoor drawing across Alberta, B.C., and beyond, he offers a great opportunity to learn and develop your watercolour skills.
Joshua Tuil will also teach portrait (October) and caricature (November) drawing classes for those eager to explore the expressive possibilities of the human face and figure.
Joshua will be joined by Hila Tuil to guide a gesture drawing with a live model. You can register for the 3-session option, and/ or drop-in opportunities will be available on the first Tuesday of each month.
Clay sculpting workshop:
For anyone interested in working with clay, we offer a variety of fun and engaging sculpture workshops. Learn how to sculpt expressive eyes (November) or create a whimsical mushroom (October)
I teach the torso life-size human figure sculpture workshop, (October) with a male life model and a 100-pound block of clay—a rewarding opportunity to study form, structure, and the human figure in depth.
