The Bed and Breakfast is nestled on 172 acres among the majestic mountains of the Nass Valley, and the property offers many wonderful outdoor experiences.

Grizzly and black bears are regulars here along with wolves, coyotes, fox and martins.  If you are a birdwatcher, you will be surprised by the number of species of birds that make their home here in the valley. One of our favourites is the “pileated” woodpecker that can have a wingspan of over 3 feet.

Follow our trail down to the end of our property and you will find yourself in what is often referred to as the “bear patch” or better known as the Ginget, an ecological reserve.  This is where bears and other wildlife head to get their fill of fresh fish.  We also have several resident beavers in the Ginget so don’t be surprised to see a few beaver dams in the area.

The Nass Valley is home to the Nisga’a Nation who have resided here for millenia.  The Nisga’a offer truly unique Aboriginal Cultural Experiences.  A visit to the Nisga’a Museum is a good place to start.  The state of the art museum is located approximately 40 kms northwest of us and is a must for every visitor. For more information about the museum please follow this link: www.nisgaamuseum.ca

If you are looking for a little more of a challenge and an outdoor experience, you can spend some time in the Nisga’a Memorial Lava Bed Park.  This is a Provincial park jointly managed by the Nisga’a Nation and the Province of British Columbia.  You can book a tour to the volcano or you may choose a self-directed driving tour and walk into the various stops to get a look at some of the features of the Park. For more information related to the tours please follow this link: www.nassvalleytours.com
