Sculpture Capital of Canada™
Castlegar Sculpturewalk is a annual rotating exhibition showcasing thirty outdoor sculptures, from national and international artists, in Castlegar’s downtown core. From May to October the public can vote on their favourite piece via ballot, and the winner of this People’s Choice Award is purchased by the City of Castlegar for the permanent collection. There are additional cash prizes for Artistic Merit, and all of the sculptures are available for sale or lease, a program that has proven popular with businesses and neighbouring municipalities.
