Located in beautiful Madeira Park, on the Sunshine Coast and hosted in a collection of yurts.
FibreWorks Studio & Gallery established in 2006 and transitioned to a non profit in 2021 showcases the Fibre Arts – basketry, fibre, paper, textiles and wood, created by local, national and international artists.
FibreWorks’ commitment is to ensure the yurts remain a community of supportive creativity for fibre arts on the Sunshine Coast where individuals can be inspired by and instructed in the myriad of expressions that fibre can take form.
We welcome you to join us at the yurts to enjoy the exhibits in our gallery which showcase the works of local through to international fibre artists in a series of exhibits from April to November.
Take a class in the workshop which provides educational opportunities in different mediums and techniques from Beginner to Master Courses led by professional artists. We have Covid safe workshops scheduled for this season.
The FibreWorks SHOP showcases local artists on a global scale, demonstrating the incredible amount of talent and creativity on offer. Available both in-store and online, these products feature techniques such as sculptured felt, wood turning, original wearables, home décor, unique hand-made cards and journals.
Delight in the colour & texture of the Studio, providing an opportunity to purchase hand dyed fibres for spinning or felting, hand dyed & hand spun yarn and finished items from local artists.
Community-based social & educational gatherings are hosted at the Studio are our Slow Sundays and monthly Spin In.
Hosted in a collection of unique yurts, which provide a warm and creative space for both locals and visitors alike to enjoy and participate in the fibre art experience.
