The Butchart Gardens is a world renowned floral display garden that attracts over a million visitors each year. Started in 1904 by the Butchart family and still family owned. The beautification of a depleted limestone quarry into the Sunken Garden is part of a series of gardens that comprise the fifty-five acre display garden featuring spectacular views from meandering paths and expansive lawns. Open every day of the year, The Gardens offer something for everyone in all seasons from The Magic of Christmas display to Firework Saturdays and open-air performances in July and August.
