Event Category: BC’s Best Festivals & Events
Due to the ongoing global Covid-19 pandemic, and after the recent announcement by BC Provincial Medical Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry that there will be no mass gatherings for any cultural and sporting events this summer, it is with heavy hearts that the Robson Valley Music Society has made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel the 2020 Robson Valley Music Festival on August 14 -16.
This decision comes with the utmost concern for the health & safety of our attendees, artists, artisans, vendors, volunteers and communities.
We are looking at creative ways in which we may be able to bring some of the magic of RVMF to you in your own homes. Stay tuned to our website and social media sites for announcements with updates on this online initiative. We are hoping in some small way that we can show support to our incredible artists whose touring livelihoods have been pulled out from under them with this pandemic.
For those of you that bought tickets to RVMF 2020 we are offering options for full refunds (minus service fees) as well as the option to give a full or partial donation of your ticket to Robson Valley Music Society. You will be receiving a direct email from us on these options. If you choose to donate your ticket to RVMS, it will help us in staying afloat through these uncertain times and we truly appreciate your support!
Thank you all for your love and support of RVMF as we navigate through these unprecedented and challenging times together. We look forward to the time we can gather in celebrating music, art and community at RVMF once again!
Stay safe and healthy,
Blessings huge from the RVMF crew.
Robson Valley Music Festival is a 3 day family oriented celebration on music, art and community. Artists from all over B.C., Canada and the World are presented in this diverse and culturally rich event. Held in the heart of the Robson Valley, Dunster, Valemount and on the banks of the Fraser River and nestled in the Caribou and Rocky Mountain ranges, this event is unique and spectacular in location as well as diversity of programming.
There are two stages in main performance area, creating a continual flow of music, as one act ends, the other begins. A busy kids zone, is complete with a stage for children’s acts, a playground, and workshops offered in art, dance and music for all ages throughout the weekend. A workshop tent is full of dance, music, songwriting and collaborated performances from artists during the daytime.
A short uphill walk to our Earthship, provides a stunning hawk’s eye view of the valley and a perfect venue for acoustic intimate performances, as well as sustainability workshops and info sessions on alternative building. The bustling and colorful vendor areas burst at the seams with local, regionally & internationally made wares. The food vending area boasts a diverse selection of local and international cuisine all day and night, featuring locally grown meat, local produce and locally roasted coffee.
