This year’s two-day Sooke Secret Garden & Artisan Tour promises to be bigger and more exciting than ever!
Alongside stunning private gardens—some featuring live music—the tour features artisan studios, artisan vendors, and several special destinations. It will be a wonderful opportunity to experience Sooke’s flourishing music and arts scene while wandering through our gorgeous private gardens.
With support from the Sooke Arts Council, the tour this year will include fourteen artisan vendors on-site to present and chat about their work. As well, six artisans will open their studios, and four special destinations will be featured on the tour, including the newly reopened Sooke Harbour House.
Explore ten exceptional gardens, ranging from a multi-acre oceanfront property to a carefully cultivated backyard. You will encounter landscapes both new and well-established, from orchards and trout streams to native woodlands and exotic plantings—it truly takes two days to see it all.
As always, members of the orchestra and chorus, plus some musical friends, will perform jazz and chamber music—with voices, strings, guitar, and saxophone to tickle your ears.
Master gardeners will also be on hand to answer questions and help plan your gardening inspirations.
Now in its 23rd year, this much-loved fundraiser for the Sooke Philharmonic Society is made possible through the generosity of Sooke’s gardeners, support of local sponsors and a large team of local volunteers.
