Place des Arts is proud to present its Summer Theatre Troupe (STT), engaging local teens in a free, by donation, family‑friendly theatre production this July and into August. Directed by the acclaimed Michael Fera, this youth ensemble will bring to life Munsch at Play — an exuberant adaptation by Irene N. Watts of Robert Munsch’s bestselling collection featuring beloved stories like Stephanie’s Ponytail, Mortimer, The Paper Bag Princess, Mud Puddle, and Murmel, Murmel, Murmel.

All performances are FREE (by donation), but registration is required. Tickets become available on July 1 at 9:00 AM via Eventbrite. Please make note of the performance venue you choose—either Place des Arts or the Coquitlam Public Library venue. Tickets can be reserved here.
This vibrant production is meant for the whole family and is directed by Michael Fera, whose distinguished 40-year career as actor, director, producer, and arts administrator includes launching this program over a decade ago at Place des Arts. Fera’s recent credits encompass Salt Water Moon (Arts Club Tour), A Christmas Carol, Kindertransport, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Macbeth, and many more. A two-time Jessie Richardson Theatre Award nominee, recipient of the BIV 40 Under 40 award, and former program coordinator at Place des Arts, Fera brings unmatched expertise and passion to our Summer Theatre Troupe.
