Take your journey uphill into the city and enjoy Glenbrook Ravine, a perfect place to stroll and view the beauty of ponds, waterfalls, wildflowers, ferns and native vegetation.

Located next to City Hall, Friendship Garden offers a waterfall and pond, a majestic totem pole, walking paths and is the perfect setting for pictures with easy access off Fourth Street and Royal Avenue.

Next, treat yourself to an afternoon of historical exploration at the New Westminster Museum and Archives (featuring Irving House), at 302 Royal Avenue, 604.527.4640.

New Westminster is rich in tradition and has a unique story to tell, so don\'t miss the New Westminster Museum, located directly behind Irving House.

Explore items brought by the Royal Engineers, who founded the "Royal City" in 1859 ... from bayonets to china teacups, they came prepared! Learn about New Westminster's historic May Day Celebration, the oldest continuing event in the British Commonwealth, still held today.

After visiting Irving House and the Museum, pop over to the Herb House Rose Garden in Queen's Park.
