There's nothing quite like encountering an artist on his or her own turf: cup of tea in one hand, and paintbrush or chisel in the other. Many British Columbia artists open up their homes and studios to visitors, welcoming you into their own creative world. Be sure to take advantage of this unique, and often unforgettable, experience. Please take note of studios that ask you call before visiting.

Margaret Graine creates contemporary, one-of-a-kind jewellery using silver and gemstones.
Her designs are inspired by her travels into the remote wilderness of northern B.C. “For some artists, place does not matter”, says Margaret. “However, if you are inspired by rivers, stones, glaciers and pine trees, the location of your studio matters a lot.” This is why she relocated from Toronto to McBride, where she established the House of Jasper Silver Studio.
Her work has been exhibited at juried shows and galleries. Currently her work can be viewed at the Two Rivers Gallery, Prince George.
Located in the Village of McBride, her studio is open to the public May till October, 11:00 — 3:00 every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and, sometimes during the week.
