There's nothing quite like encountering an artist on his or her own turf: cup of tea in one hand, and paintbrush or chisel in the other. Many British Columbia artists open up their homes and studios to visitors, welcoming you into their own creative world. Be sure to take advantage of this unique, and often unforgettable, experience. Please take note of studios that ask you call before visiting.

Fran Solar is a contemporary Canadian artist who combines traditional loom based textile techniques with unconventional materials -- ie wire, metals, electrical whatevers, bike gears, washers, to create unique woven sculptural vessels, and Scrapyard Quilts.
She is intrigued with using these 'masculine' materials to produce art with a feminine/domestic dynamic.
Daniel J. Izzard, one of Canada’s most renowned Impressionist painters, was essentially self-taught and painted professionally for over 50 years. Visit his website to explore the galleries where you will find stunning paintings of landscapes, seascapes, still life, portraits and the nude, featuring impressions from around the globe. Join many other renowned art collectors. We feature a rotating collection of paintings for sale to add to your own personal collection of fine art.
