There's nothing quite like encountering an artist on his or her own turf: cup of tea in one hand, and paintbrush or chisel in the other. Many British Columbia artists open up their homes and studios to visitors, welcoming you into their own creative world. Be sure to take advantage of this unique, and often unforgettable, experience. Please take note of studios that ask you call before visiting.

Vancouver-based artist Pnina Granirer has been exploring and extending her perception of the world around us with exuberantly colourful and formally innovative paintings and prints. Here are works with strength, but at the same time typically feminine, with flexibility, seductiveness and imaginative expressivity.
Her major work, The Trials of Eve, published as a limited edition prize winning book and a film, is now in the collection of the
Glenbow Museum in Calgary. The Dancers Suite, a series of mixed-media paintings, was based on photographs taken during rehearsals of Ballet British Columbia, Kokoro Dance and dancer Cori Caulfield.
