Located in the historic Central Park Building, the Museum features engaging and informative temporary and permanent displays on local history and culture, including Witsuwit’en history, Driftwood Canyon fossils, the mysterious case of a lost nuclear bomber, and Smithers “gift to civilization” – the egg carton! Explore the streets of Smithers with our free Culture Crawl walking tour – your guide to historic buildings, gardens, and exhibits around the town. The Museum is fully accessible and has ample on-site parking for RVs. We welcome kids to our museum and have a scavenger hunt and colouring activities to help them explore our exhibits.
