Where history comes to life – stroll down the streets of our 1920s village. Explore the combination of heritage and replica buildings on a 10-acre site. Period costumed townsfolk welcome visitors and give demonstrations in the homes, businesses and shops. Feel the heat of the forge at the blacksmith, hear the rhythm of the platen press at the print shop, smell the herbs in the garden near the farmhouse and chat with the clerk in the General Store. Chances are you’ll discover some special activities including: grinding coffee, churning butter, using an old-fashioned washboard and visiting faraway places with a stereoscope. A whirl on the carousel, a visit to the tram, and a treat from the Ice Cream Parlour are all ‘must’ experiences! Gate admission is FREE.
