Overlooking the waters at Victoria's scenic Gorge Waterway, Point Ellice House is where the locals go to enjoy afternoon tea! And just as British Navy officers and other guests could do over a hundred years ago, you can be dropped off at the dock! Today you can step aboard the Harbour Ferry in front of the Empress Hotel and take a leisurely tour past Victoria's old town on your way to Point Ellice. Of course, you can arrive by land as well! Take a step back in time: try your hand at croquet and enjoy a walk through the gardens and woodland areas and view the scenic Selkirk Waterway.

Craigflower Farm was established on land purchased in 1850 from the chiefs of the Kosapsom people, who had lived in the area for millennia. The farm was one of four original farms set up by the Hudson's Bay Company as part of their obligations in settling Vancouver Island.
Historic Yale is open between weekends from April 7-30 between 10 am and 5 pm. We are open seven days a week from May 3 to Sept. 30 and weekends from Sept. 30-Oct. 15. During the off season we are open by advanced booking.
Rediscover a town filled with the reckless dreams of folly and fortune, sorrow and joy as you browse through our 1870's home or walk into the hallowed midst of St. John the Divine, the church that was built in 1863. Take the time to learn more about the Chinese in Yale and the construction of the railway.

At one time the Secwepemc people occupied one large Traditional territory covering approximately 145,000 square kilometers. In 1811, after European contact, the colonial government divided the Secwepemc people into 17 distinct groups with specific parcels of land designated to each.
Visit the Secwepemc Museum and Heritage Park and experience the rich cultural history of the Secwepemc People. Attractive museum exhibits incorporate the oral history and legends of the Secwepemc People along with historical photographs, illustrations and artefacts. Outdoor cultural displays in the 12-acre Native Heritage Park on the banks of the South Thompson River are a natural complement to the Museum. More than a kilometer of trails lead visitors through the archaeological remains of a 2000-year old Secwepemc winter village site, four reconstructed winter pit houses and a summer village.

"Our Window to the Past"
The Chilliwack Museum is located in downtown Chilliwack. Exhibit galleries show how a community of small villages evolved to become a city. Videos, films, a kid's corner and objects are used to tell the Chilliwack story. The Chambers Gallery features changing art displays of local and B.C. artists.
Cottonwood House Historic Site is located 26 kilometres east of Quesnel, BC. It is a preserved road house on the Gold Rush Trail to Barkerville Historic Town.

The Museum of Northern BC is located in a great cedar longhouse-style building overlooking the ocean.
