The Nickelodeon Collection is the only mechanical music museum in western Canada that is open to the public. Our collection illustrates the history of the development of automatic music for entertainment, commencing with an 18th century barrel organ and concluding with jukeboxes from the 1950s. In between are automatic organs ranging from a small Dutch street organ to an 84-key Belgian dance organ and from small reed organettes to the large Aeolian residence pipe organ, which has over 650 pipes.

The Summerland story is told at its museum, “where the spirit of our pioneers comes alive!” Exhibits, storyboards and photographs chronicle historical events from the first peoples to the present. Visitors can peek in a tent house, visit a 1930s fruit packing house and an HO model railway.

Rossland Museum offers displays on local history, Cominco, West Kootenay Power and other interesting exhibits and photographs depicting the early history of Rossland.

Mine Tours
The mine tour takes approximately 45 minutes. You will be shown displays and given a hard hat before you begin your underground tour. Following your tour, you can visit our Geology Centre and other outdoor exhibits as well as try gold panning in our gold panning trough.


The Visitor Centre is also located at the museum for all our visitors travel information.

1915 CN Station relocated to the corner of Mavis and Glover in Fort Langley and refurbished from 1983-1985 - designed by the Great Northern RR it was bought by the CNR in l918.


Today it houses the Fort Langley Artists Group, F.L.A.G. in the baggage room and has a small museum in the ticket office and waiting room. The 'site' also has a l920's Caboose with original furnishings and with a well equipped working model RR. It is manned by summer students for July and August and by "site" volunteers for May, June, Sept and October (until Thanksgiving).Summer & Fall Weekends from 12 to 4p.m.

The first main Telkwa school house, built in 1920, remains and today houses the Telkwa Museum where memories and stories of the past come together.
