Each Opus store will be awarding prizes to three works, chosen on site by an impartial jury. The top prize in each location is a $500 Opus Gift Card, with 2nd and 3rd prizes being $250 and $100 Gift Cards, respectively. Pre-register at your local Opus, either in store or by phone. Registration will be accepted up until the challenge begins.

BC's Best Festivals, Events & Exhibitions Royal city gogo's New Westminster BC www.royalcitygogos.org/ May 9 to 12, 2013 "Celebrating African Grandmothers" Juried Art Exhibit and Craft Sale Thursday May 9 - Sunday May 12 10 AM - 6:00 PM River Market New Westminster Quay Royal City Gogos: Gogo is a Zulu word for grandmother. The Royal City Gogos, based in New Westminster B.C., is part of a national movement of grandmothers and "grand others" that form the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation. We fundraise in support of African grandmothers who are caring for a generation of children who have been orphaned by AIDS. These children are the hope of the continent. These events involve everything from growing sunflower seedlings to hosting home parties, textile shows, or a Scrabble game. Royal City Gogos are part of a regional network of 25 groups that make up the Greater Van Gogos. The region stretches from Powell River to Chilliwack.
