The annual award, launched in 2006 by the BC Achievement Foundation, is designed for First Nations artists who have demonstrated a commitment to their art practice, have accumulated a body of work, and who are recognized in their communities as artists.

This program is open to traditional or contemporary visual artists in fields such as, carving, photography, beading, weaving, jewellery, painting, sculpture, textiles and media art.

Up to five recipients will be awarded at a presentation and curated exhibit taking place at The Roundhouse, exhibition partner for the Fulmer Award, in Vancouver from November 18 – 21, 2019.

The Fulmer Award in First Nations Art is made possible through the generous support of the Fulmer Foundation.
